The Natural Body

We will always be a part of nature.

Flesh and Nature

My skin is my continental plate

hiding the web of blood vessels and ivory.

My bones are made of stone and moss,

held together by centuries of pressure

and formation directed by the universe.

My bones are singing mountains

covered by grass and pebbles and hidden creatures.

Some would call that being ancient;

giving my body back to nature for immortality.
