The Narcissist

Poem 1

By Robert EmmettPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

How many times did you promise?

How many promises were broken?

With all the help you received,

You gave nothing in return.

Do you understand what you did to her?

Do you understand what you did to them?

What you are still doing to her,

What you are still doing to them?

They wanted their mother.

She wanted her mother.

You wanted everything

But gave nothing.

You blamed them.

You tortured them.

You abused them.

You broke them.

All they wanted was love.

All they wanted was a friend.

All they wanted was a mother.

All they wanted was you.

You told them they were never loved.

You told them they couldn’t do it.

Now, they are loved.

They did it.

Without you.
