Self: What is my name? Soul: You know it. Self: I cannot see it clear. Soul: Only you know it best. Self: It hides. Soul: Walk slowly Self: It shifts in unease. Soul: Settle. Self: Again, it moves beyond my sight. Soul: You walk too quickly. Self: I must catch it. Soul: You will mistake the shape. Self: It dances without rhythm. Soul: Then, sit with it awhile. Self: Does it seek freedom? Soul: It is already free Self: It falters. Soul: Let it rest alone. Self: Will I get to know it? Soul: Let it grow steady. Self: Now, it looks at me as if knowing. Soul: Knowing what? Self: Who I am. Soul: Who you are? Self: Knowing my name. Soul: What is your name? Self: I am Me.
About the Creator
Ms Jade
Ms Jade writes by listening inward — where stories wait beneath the surface.
Some things you’re told to follow. Some things you have to feel out for yourself. I write in between— learning as I go.
