The silence is profound, broken only by the faint sound of the being’s breath. It looks down at the book, then at its hands, and finally at the empty space where the cloaked figure had stood.

The whispers return, softer this time, a gentle hum in the back of its mind. The being nods, understanding what it must do. With a single motion, it picks up the book and steps into the shadows, disappearing into the labyrinthine corridors of the library.

Far away, beneath the earth, something stirs. The world holds its breath.

Thank you for the time, one love!
