The Mountains of the Moon

There's a place I sometimes go when I want to be alone

I go there in my mind ignoring time, space, and my phone

The atmosphere is peaceful though it doesn't have much air

When I'm there I do not need to breathe so I don't really care

There is no noise to interfere with the workings of my mind

It's as silent as the grave...at least that's what I find

That's a plus for me it's such a treat in fact I'd say a boon

When I leave this Earth so far behind on the mountains of the Moon
