The Motion of the Ocean
A Quatrain 2–4 rhyming poem

The motion of the ocean
Sheer music to my ears
The soothing back-and-forth
As each wave disappears.
< ---->
A gentle rhythmic potion
Colors of azure blue
Wrapped inside a sandy cup
An impression from my shoe.
< ---->
The motion of the ocean
Lapping at the shore
Again and again, you return
Just like you did before.
< ---->
Like verses of a symphony
The rise and fall of notes
Relentless, endless reprise
Oh! The magic of your notes.
< ---->
I sit down on your sandy shore
Mesmerized by your sound
The motion of the ocean
What a peaceful, calm I've found.
< ---->
[Author's note: The perfect antidote for stress: A mild sunny day, a gentle breeze that urges the rhythmical back and forth of the waves gentling lapping the sore.]
