The day The Rains Arrived

The Monsoon

The monsoon strikes with a deadly fear,

Dark clouds gather, the end feels near.

Rain pours down in a drowning flow,

Turning calm days into sorrow and woe.

Rivers swell with a ferocious might,

Engulfing all, swallowing the light.

Lives taken swiftly, swept in the tide,

In nature’s grip, there’s nowhere to hide.

Thunder rumbles, a haunting sound,

Echoing fears that chill the ground.

Destruction howls on the restless breeze,

In the rain’s embrace, nothing can ease.

Fields drown beneath the unyielding flood,

Hope washed away, dreams slip like mud.

Huts collapse, families torn apart,

Each drop carries pain, breaks the heart.

Fear wraps around like a chilling stone,

Familiar faces now feel so alone.

Memories linger in the downpour's grip,

A heavy heart on this sorrowful trip.

Despair tightens its hold as the storm rages on,

In a world washed out, where laughter is gone.

No solace found in the chaos and strife,

Just shadows of loss in this fragile life.

We wade through the muck, burdened by the past,

In a deluge of grief, where sorrows are cast.

Each moment a struggle, a deeper descent,

Under the weight of the rain, all hope seems spent.
