THE MIND OF CLUTTERED THOUGHTS
Things I keep inside my head that haunt my mind in bed

THE MIND OF CLUTTERED THOUGHTS
My mind is full of cluttered thoughts,
All tangled up inside my head,
A thousand things I should forget,
A thousand words I never said.
I painted all my worries green,
My broken dreams a shade of red,
And every colour tells a tale,
Of memories that won’t stay dead.
The orange holds my angry days,
The black conceals my silent tears,
The purple hides forgotten love,
That’s wandered through my lonely years.
I tried to put my thoughts in order,
But nothing ever stayed in place,
For every time I closed a door,
Another memory showed its face.
Some thoughts are beautiful and kind,
Some hurt much more than they should do,
And somewhere in this tangled mess,
I found a little patch of blue.
So let my colours twist and turn,
And let my cluttered thoughts run free,
For every strange and tangled line,
Is just another part of me.
