The Maze

"I'll lead you through my coloured maze, My head and soul entwined."

Darling, take a dance with me,

In the corridors of my mind,

I'll lead you through my coloured maze,

My head and soul entwined.

-

The deepest parts where secrets lie,

Behind a haze of grey,

My melancholy sonata,

An out of tune piano plays.

-

We'll take a turn amongst the hedges,

adorned with roses red,

But watch you do not prick yourself,

On thorns from hearts once bled.

-

Skip merrily through the open field,

That's vast but mostly bare,

Green grass laid out before us,

A pretty flower, rare.

-

We'll hop from star to planet,

In the galaxy of creativities,

Across the purple milky way,

Floats music, words and stories.

-

The black and white chessboard,

The home where logic rules,

The place to seek the answers,

My least endearing tools.

-

The northern-most peninsula,

We'll go in search of truth,

The moral coded compass,

That guides us where to look.

-

The blue inviting ocean,

Where I go to seek my calm,

We'll listen to the crashing waves,

While walking arm in arm.

-

The rainbow covered centre,

Where everything collides,

A symphony of all the things,

That makes this maze my mind.
