THE MATTER WITH ALICE

Down The Rabbit Hole...

Self, Please Love Me...

There’s something the matter with Alice,

Her cronies are all making sense

The Queen has forgotten her malice,

Poor Absolem's bitter and tense

*

There’s something quite weird about Alice,

Her movements are quite disarrayed

She wanders a-daze through the palace,

The White Rabbit is no longer late...

*

There’s something quite strange about Alice,

She fumbled and stumbled all night

She sipped from a long silver chalice,

And flew through the air like a kite!

*

There’s something the matter with Alice!

I’m afraid she’s gone totally mad,

Her manner has grown oddly callous,

Yet, her eyes look most certainly sad...

*

My youth is reflected in Alice,

Our souls seem exactly alike

Our dreams are ceaseless and breathless,

Chasing mercy at dizzying heights

*

I found a connection with Alice,

An eternal, unbreakable, bond

I bathe in daydreams with Alice,

Down the rabbit hole, far and beyond...

*
