The Masked Man
The masked man walked
Stalked the knight
Talked never
Sent shivers down one’s spine
The masked man was an heir of airs
Where he went the winds followed
Howled
Haunted the knight
Ink drops, blood drops
All the same
Marks of passion of various transactions
Love and Lust
Passion and Obsession
Fixed together like stitched skin
Forced together by black string
Forced to hold, to grow together
Connected by scars
Ripe red
Unrequited love
Years pass
Birth
Death
A vicious cycle bringing unwanted visitors
The masked man and the knight
Are ink and blood
Opposites of opportunity
Opponents by chance, not by choice
Split by destiny
Love was theirs
And that was all that mattered
They loved and loved their own
Time and Fate shared a hand
In love’s disruption
A mask and sword
Fit together
Like fire and water
One destroys the other
One lives, one dies
One receives, one deceives
The masked man walked
Stalked the knight
Talked never
Sent shivers down the knight’s spine
Hushed breathes of death
The end of the beginning had begun
The masked man walked
Away from death
The knight
Swimming in sanguine pools
A red mirror reflecting
One’s loss
One’s gain
The masked man walked
Straight into the night
Stained scythe in hand
Into the dark decanter
Of what once was
