The Malfunctioning Brain
Voices crawl behind my eyes at night
Twisting wires that no doctor can trace
Every memory flickers beneath dim light
Leaving shadows stitched across my face
Thoughts drip slowly through fractured veins
Like broken clocks losing every hour
I drown inside invisible storms of pain
Watching confusion gather power
The mirror cracks each time I stare
Reflecting strangers beneath my skin
Nothing living truly survives in there
Only noise scratching deep within
Sleep never settles upon my bed
It circles slowly like starving flies
A restless sickness inside my head
Feeding on silence and whispered lies
I speak in fragments nobody hears
Sentences rotting before they land
My pulse is stitched with ancient fears
Shaking through this trembling hand
Doctors write words they cannot prove
Cold labels scattered across my chart
Still this darkness continues to move
Chewing slowly through my heart
The ceiling bends when daylight fades
Walls begin breathing beside the door
Every stable thought eventually decays
Until I know myself no more
So I carry this malfunctioned mind
Dragging chains nobody can see
A haunted soul fate left behind
Locked inside what used to be
