Los Dos Solitarios (the Lonesome Two), Estefania García Equihua
Too early to say
what shall or shan’t be,
too late to stay
away or beneath;
the lonesome, the fulsome
can’t scape but are free.
Like two lions living in the solitary,
or two panthers living on the crowds,
something they are not designed to
but have to face sometimes.
They might imprison their hearts
perhaps tear their souls apart,
but their essence will always be
as the almighty universe: free.
Too late to stay
in a prison with leaves,
too early to state
what it should be but it isn’t?
Time exists just as you.
