Once it stood, a sentinel so bright

A lighthouse that guided, through the night

Its beauty and grace, a beacon so rare

A symbol of hope, with a heart so fair

*

But time and neglect, have taken their toll

And now this lighthouse, has lost its hold

Its light now fading, with each passing day

Leaving behind, a sight in decay

*

The lonely lighthouse, its end so near

Its beacon now dim, its grace in fear

Its last goodbye, to all below

An abandoned sentinel, a sight to know

*

It's time is up, its journey done

A life that once was, now gone

Its memory remains, a testament bright

To a lighthouse that shone, with all its might.
