The Logical Conclusion

Bound by the norms of the society.

By Isha KhanejaPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

I’m not sure what I have done

to be treated this way.

Everyone’s blaming me,

leaving me to stray.

It’s hard enough already-

to try and make no mistake.

But no one appreciates the effort,

as if it’s their reputation at stake?!

And most pointing out my flaws,

have fingers as crooked as can be.

They only have more experience,

with pretending to be white sheep.

I think that there’s a fine line

between sharing wisdom and ridicule.

And that some coaching the game

don’t, themselves, know the rules.

I’m learning that pleasing everyone

is only a misconstrued delusion.

And that being true to one’s self

is the only logical conclusion.
