The living mirror

By Dawn Constant Published 2 years ago 1 min read

I’m here,

Laughing with the people around me,

I’m here,

I’ve participated, where’s my trophy, I’m exactly what everyone else wants,

“Are you okay?” Am I? I’m waiting for your answer,

I can feel their desires, as easily as I see them, effort? Not much is needed to give them to you,

Blank,

Alone,

The silence, presents the emptiness behind the glass,

Am I here?

Only when someone else is, Sometimes the emptiness is nice, Sometimes the quiet is scary,

One way mirror,

I see you, do you see me?

I don’t,

Observer? Of course I know you, How else could I become your dreams,

Disappointment?

Failure,

I am not here, I am in your head, A short lived projection,

sad poetry
