The Little Gingerbread Man Who Dreamed of More
Everyone needs a dream to follow

The Little Gingerbread Man Who Dreamed of More
In a little kitchen warm and bright,
Where candles danced in the night,
A tiny gingerbread man was made,
With sugar smiles and icing laid.
He sat upon the cooling tray,
Dreaming of worlds beyond that day,
Of fields of flowers, skies of blue,
And all the wonders he could view.
He watched the children laugh and play,
But wondered what lay far away,
Was he just made to stand and wait,
Or could he choose his own great fate?
So when the moon began to glow,
He whispered softly, “I must go.”
With little feet and a heart so brave,
He stepped beyond the home he gave.
He danced with snowflakes in the air,
He met new friends who showed they cared,
A robin sang, a mouse smiled too,
And every path felt fresh and new.
Though he was small, he learned one thing,
Great dreams can make the smallest sing.
For size is not what makes you grand,
It’s the kindness held within your hand.
And when he finally wandered home,
No longer feeling all alone,
The little gingerbread man could see,
The greatest adventure was being free.
He stayed upon the kitchen shelf,
A little hero, proud himself,
For everyone who looked his way,
Saw courage baked into his clay.
