The Link-bomber

The absurdity in limerick form

There once was a writer so great,

That boundless praise they'd await.

He dropped others a link,

But never stopped to think,

That perhaps they should reciprocate.

Link-bombing on Vocal posts is becoming a problem.

Not only is it annoying, it's counterproductive. Most creators, if they see a link without so much as a word or two expressing appreciation of their own work, will scroll right past the link, or hide it and block the poster, or even report to the group admins. Do yourself a favour, and read the original work, rather than hijacking the post for self-promotion.

The law of equivilent exchange applies to reads and likes, too.

Thank you. Thank you. It is so annoying, especially if they do not give any indication for having even read your work. Well done!
