The Light of You

The Dark of You

I regained the Will, that once was lost

I’ve paid the piper of pride’s high cost

I regained the Hope that I once led

I’m healing the wounds from where I bled

Finally, at long last has come this day

Along the path where I once lost my way

No more of these games that I had to play

No more can I be molded like a lump of clay

I never thought she would ever cross my path

An unexpected imperfect perfect love at last

She calls me to the Light ahead

No longer lost inside my head

We dream, we love, with nothing less

We live, we breathe, we fight with the best

We fade to Light from the wicked we left

We know this life will lead to love’s true test

I casted a prayer for the wounded heart

She shined a path to heal from the start

Into the Light and from out of the Dark

We dance in a blaze of twin flame’s lost art

And now the walls have crashed and fallen

Return from ash, to the Phoenix’s calling

A Dragon’s soul empowered to take flight

Flying together towards everlasting light
