The Light in the center

Surrounded, yet alone!

I'm alone,

Yet the light in the center,

*

The silence stormed,

Yet the light in the center

*

The darkness unfurled,

Yet the light in the center

*

The body curled,

Yet the light in the center

**

The closure of the tomb,

The fall of the dome,

*

I rest in my loneliness,

the irresistible pain of bitterness,

*

Let me out of this shivering heart,

the indescribable disgust in my breath to start,

**

Have you been in such a space?

The wealth shining over the face,

the scent of sadness within the surface,

my welcoming heart, consumed to its fullest to taste,

*

The loud cry of my emptiness,

in the crowd of laughter and noise,

*

How will I stay in such a place?

The feeling of belongingness that stopped to engage,

**

The burdened silence, crawled to a blocked place,

An unreasonable unhappiness, unspoken to face,

**

And I am in a hurry, searching for a reason to say,

**

Yet the light in the center,

stayed all the while as a mentor,

facing the walls of strains and stains,

cracking up the mere life, to rain,

over the field of words, merging to convey,

"I'm surrounded yet alone."

**

The LIGHT, interrupted,

"No one here escapes the light in the center!"

About the Creator

Parvathi J

Through my pages, I find the quiet complexities of pain dwelling in a solitary space, burdening life’s endless demands, and unburdening the voiceless noise.

Witnessing the questioning, I speak the deeper silence of my voice.
