The Lies Rolled Out of Him
He just could not stop himself

The Lies Rolled Out of Him
The lies rolled out of him,
Like poison from his tongue,
He stole the light within her,
And laughed at what he’d done.
He wore a smile for strangers,
A devil lived inside,
Behind those charming eyes,
Was wickedness and pride.
He promised her forever,
Then left her in the rain,
And every word he whispered,
Brought another night of pain.
She waited for his kindness,
A tenderness he’d shown,
But all his love was borrowed,
And all his lies his own.
He twisted every story,
Until she took the blame,
And when her tears were falling,
He called it just a game.
A sad and wicked creature,
With darkness in his soul,
He took a woman’s loving heart,
And left an empty hole.
But lies cannot live forever,
The truth will find its way,
And all the hurt he buried,
Will face the light of day.
Now silence fills the doorway,
Where once his shadow fell,
She walked away from darkness,
And left him in his hell.
