The Last Race of Freedom

They rode to defend their land

As the rode across the land

Past the windmills and fields of green

To the battle front well they ride

The enemy was coming

The men were called

To the battle front with arms in flair

All coming even in death stare

Freedom was threatened

The land was there’s

It was the last resort

Some may not come out alive

But sacrifice was necessary this time

Fear was not an option here

Riding into certain death

Courage and resilience was their creed

Sad it had to come to this

And yet it came so swift

The battle is coming

and it will be fought

by brave men and their courage enough
