As she examined it, she noticed a faint trace of glitter clinging to the setting. It matched the glitter in the glove. “What were you hiding, Ella?” Ava whispered to herself. Suddenly, her phone buzzed—a message from Samantha.

“I remembered something. Ella was meeting someone the night before… a secret meeting. I don’t know who, but she seemed anxious.” Ava’s pulse quickened. “Where?” “I overheard her on the phone a few days ago. It was about a new project.

She seemed nervous.” “Did she mention a name?” Ava asked, her fingers flying over the screen. “Just a nickname. Something like ‘The Magician.’”
