Arms.

Warm hold.

Breathing slows down.

Cheek against my skin.

Your heartbeat drums through me.

I know this could be it.

The world holds its breath for us.

In this moment, time is not actually real.

I delightfully soak in your familiar scent .

May silence speak our final truths.

I soak in every moment .

Fingers clutching; heart aching.

I let go.

You’re gone.

Damn.
