This is what we have become
Time has now come
Day by day it goes
Live for today we do
Die for tomorrow
The brave souls have
Their burdens grow
Hour by hour seems
Minute by minute
Guilt grows steady
In souls of the brave
Crimes feel committed
Acts of aggression
Carried out always
On politicians' orders
Fought for our country
Died for our freedom
Long forgotten have
Painted as enemies they
Ten o'clock news story
Importance no longer
Celebs rule the world
On politicians' orders
Second to each other
Innocents lost instead
Not important enough
Celebs love life is more
Politicians' scandals are
Everyday person is not
Soul of the brave is not
What have we become
Land of the free and
Home of the brave
No longer are we
Land of popularity
We have now become
No longer can we live
No longer can we die
Brave are heroes no more
Cheaters and thieves instead
They are the heroes of today
True land of popularity
That is what we have become.
