A Poem

THE KIND-HEARTED SHOWMAN

I could never have a stall at the Fair

I'd give everything away

To lovers with broken hearts

Trying to find happiness

In throwing three darts

To sad-eyed children with a wish

To change their lives

With a Fairground goldfish

Take no money would I

At my Coconut Shy

For the painfully shy

No money would ever be collected

From lost souls, dreamers and disaffected.

Teddy Bears would have no cost

To the unwanted, lonely and lost

I'd give it all away

If it helped

To make someone's day...
