The Keeper of Time Tree
It stands alone, yet never apart,
with wisdom carved in it’s heart.
Its branches stretch like open arms,
a refuge safe from worldly harms.
Beneath its shade, the wild ones play,
soft winds whisper, then drift away.
The roots dig deep, embrace the land,
holding secrets time has planned.
The sun has kissed its emerald crest,
the moon has bathed it while it rests.
Storms have raged and torn its bark,
but still, it rises from the dark.
The birds confide in gentle song,
they build their homes, they stay lifelong.
A silent witness, standing tall,
watching seasons rise and fall.
It does not speak, yet still it knows,
how time will pass, how rivers flow.
Not bound by chains, not moved by man,
it grows as only nature can.
And when we’re gone, when all is new,
this tree will stand, its branches true.
A monument to days once seen,
forever strong, forever green.
