we begin at the bottom
of the heavy pendulum
thoughts and deeds
take so long to return
.
but soon you will realise
as you begin the climb
the faster the clock ticks
and the sooner it chimes
.
so quickly that you may
suddenly change your mind
scared of what’s higher
and what you may find
.
but if you can keep
yourself ever so still
find the calm within you
choose peace over thrills
.
soon you will realise
sitting with time
that karma expires
as you balance your mind
.
your frequency rises
close to that chime
and there it’s revealed
all you ever longed to find

your frequency rises close to that chime I remember us talking about that frequency many times! Your poem was so powerful!
What a wonderful metaphor you created with the pendulum! This is truly brilliant, Kayleigh!
I like this idea a lot! A sort of rising above what we thought we needed.. or at least that is what I’m getting from your piece. . 😀
Lovely little bit of philosophical inspiration from Ms Fraser! Well done, Kayleigh!
