The Joy of a Massage

To soothe the body

Gentle hands,

Heavy pressure,

Working the stress from my shoulders,

Scented oil,

Long broad strokes,

Easing the tension from my back.

**

Relaxation,

Remedial,

Deep tissue,

Stretching,

Movability.

**

Thank you for the tension release,

The meditation,

The healing touch,

The aromatic scent,

The gradual letting go of stress.

**

Experienced hands,

Perfect pressure,

Easing of painful knots,

Soothing of sore muscles.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
