As so often the abnormal is normal,
I am squatted barefoot backseat of a car,
On a rocky journey that feels eternal,
Secure sans garments - no need for a pegnoir,
My arms steady myself against the jolting,
Elbow against window as if relaxing,
My gaze fixed ahead, but my attention is split,
Between a man and an urgency of fit.
Friend of a friend is my fellow passenger,
In what would be a comfortable silence,
Now distressing for me for lack of a jar,
Hopeful that this man lacks skills of surveillance,
It won’t be long now ‘til it has departed,
My sphincter starts to fail; I am disheartened,
As it lands on the seat, my eyes open wide,
Truly I’ve not ever felt so horrified.
Motion suspended, my eyes slide to the right,
Could it be that he has not noticed my plight?
A slight wrinkle of nose, but no other shift,
In demeanour at all, just as I had wished,
The car comes to a stop; he quickly alights,
In half a second I have defied time-space,
My log thrown under the car, out of my sight,
How ever shall I look at him in the face?
