“The Journey”
Try and ride this gallant steed for it has galloped ‘cross every century
____________________________
Stood atop a mountain top and found in its breeze like a glaciers freeze nothing more than beauty with its restlessness and unease
____________________________
Strode across golden pastures its purpose forgotten but to those who respect its boundless prospers cross
____________________________
Opened my eyes on a desert’s ride only to find moon clouds around each arid stride across every divide
____________________________
Spanned an ocean wide to see nothing more than hollowed tide and endless strife
____________________________
Still I ride across these cloud filled skies trying to find my inner light, once snuffed, then shone bright
____________________________
Till‘ was snuffed like a candle past twilight, then cloaked by darkest night
____________________________
Thunderous hoof beats on summers night, I hope to feel thy light shining bright on the pleasant night or weary day I’m made to bleed
