Shocked, tired, and drenched in sweat,
I wake up fearing regret.
Knowing what I have to do,
will help me start my life anew.
All those years of planning,
All those months of doubt.
All those days of constant raining,
waiting for an easy out.
Knowing it will never come,
forgetting all those days of fun.
Soon I know the sun will rise,
as I sit here on my cozy bed.
Tomorrow holds me no surprise,
my thoughts have gone from hate to dread.
My journey there will start today,
out on the dock, over-looking the bay.
Everything from my past life gone,
as I sail away to prove them wrong.
