The Incelosaurus

Loneliness x Misogyny x Self-Loathing

By Lily SéjorPublished 30 days ago 1 min read

His brains bound by the amber sap

Of base misogyny

Misplaced in perpetuity

In swamps of self-disgust

*

The Incelosaurus, a beast

Of the pernicious kind

Of shapes and colors multiple

But of a single mind

*

“Give me what I deserve,” he says

By that, he means the world

And access fully unfettered

To foxy female herds

*

Appendix sad and rock salt dry

A crouton in the sun

Left hand, right hand, he cannot choose

But he knows who to drub

*

A rank and dank den, in the dark

His natural habitat

Whatever Mother hurls down there

His diet for the night

*

A spirit less piquant than mine

Could sense its feebleness

Take pity on the dinosaur

Then find out it’s a Rex

*

In the digital pack, sometimes

A monstrous king does rise

With the most trenchant of keyboards

And merciless of mics

*

Stale secrets and scavenging tips

To gorge on female pray

Are barely just the beginning

He seeks to make us pay

*

Transphobic, misogynistic,

A boundless violent storm

Which deserves all our attention

Lest it become the norm

*

Speak to your boys and all your friends

Do not assume they’re good

For you may find Jurassic nests

In your neck of the woods

Oh wow! I am blown away...wonderful. I just wrote a funny kind of not so funny one about that dino nest. Lovely poetry.

  • "For you may find Jurassic nests / In your neck of the woods" is such a mic drop. You've crafted something very clever with this poem. Great job!

I've met this guy: "base misogyny Misplaced in perpetuity In swamps of self-disgust" He's an ass. Powerfully conveyed. Enjoyed your writing very much!
