the impure angel

a poem

By InsaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

the angel with impure desires

unblemished ivory skin covered in dark ink

a delicate voice spitting harsh truths

and soft hair framing inquisitive emerald eyes

lips painted in the same hues as the scars on her legs

and she wears them with conviction

will you give the girl a halo?

her mind belongs to the sky either way

judgments can’t touch her there

broken wings hold her high

where baby blue hugs her curves so supple

legs dangling effortlessly

she sits among marble clouds carved by the hands of wind and water

until the sun slowly kisses her goodbye

dripping gold over her heavy shoulders

and the impure angel remains unmoved

surreal poetry
