The Imaginary Other

The subconscious part of ourself is reflected in our perception of others.

This is the true nature of how we experience those we perceive as others.

That which presents itself as someone else but when challenged, turns out to be a reflection of ourself.

When we look at person, what do we see?

What can we see? What can we not see?

Are there things we simply cannot see or know yet that we fill in with our own imaginations in order to make sense of them?

Are our imaginations based on the transient nature of beliefs or on solid knowledge?

Who is it we are meeting when we dream?

Who plays the roles of the characters we encounter in our dreams?

The dreamer and the dream are one.
