The Illusion of Friendship
A Journey Through Betrayal

In a world where shadows dance,
And reality weaves a wicked trance.
I once believed in friendship's truth,
A bond unbreakable, forsooth.
But alas, the veil has been unveiled,
Revealing hearts that fickle and failed.
Like shattered glass, our friendship torn,
Leaving me alone, bereft and forlorn.
They turned their backs, those once so dear,
Whispering lies, spreading fear.
Jealousy's poison coursed through their veins,
Corrupting souls, tainting their remains.
Oh, how I yearn for days of old,
When loyalty was more than just gold.
But now, I wander lost and alone,
In a world where trust is seldom shown.
In this modern labyrinth, we tread,
Where deceit and betrayal are widely spread.
The masks we wear, concealing our true intent,
Like actors on a stage, our lives are spent.
With guarded hearts, we cautiously navigate,
Fearing the sting of another heartbreak.
Trust is a fragile flower, easily crushed,
In this harsh world, where dreams are hushed.
Yet, amidst the darkness, a flicker of light,
A solitary friend, unwavering and bright.
A beacon of hope in a sea of despair,
Whose loyalty remains beyond compare.
For this one friend, I am eternally grateful,
A treasure rare, irreplaceable, faithful.
In their presence, I find solace and grace.
Their love and support, an unwavering embrace.
Though the trials of life may test our bond,
Our friendship will endure, forever fond.
Together, we'll weather the storms that rage,
And emerge stronger, despite life's barrage.
So, let us navigate this treacherous terrain,
With caution and wisdom, lest we suffer pain.
For in the tapestry of life's grand design,
True friendship is a treasure, rare and divine.
