“Let’s get closer.” The Endeavor maneuvered cautiously, skimming the surface as the drone drew nearer to the spire. They watched as it circled the structure, revealing what appeared to be an intricate network of platforms and buildings integrated into the landscape.

Faint lights pulsed rhythmically, giving the impression of a heartbeat.

“Are we… are we looking at an alien city?” Dr. Park whispered, awe evident in her voice. “Possibly,” Elara replied, her mind racing. “But we are not authorized for contact. We need to gather some more data and leave.” But as they watched, the drone’s feed began to glitch.
