The Hidden Beast

In the Darkness

You're inside of me

No one beside me

But you still reside in me

You hide in me

When I want to believe things will get better

You're reminding me

That it won't.

An entity

Filled with enmity

I wish I could say depression was a joke

That there's such thing as hope

But you make life so empty.

You give me comfort in death

Make me feel like I breathe a pointless breath

Why God, why God, why does it feel better to be dead?

Everyone just says it's in my head

It insinuates

That if I were the Hulk I couldnt lift these weights

And they come in waves

Sometimes low tide

But sometimes they're high enough to make me dig my own grave

Self homicide
