Controlled by the river of emotions
The boat that never sinks…
The cruise liner wasn’t ready
Yet we head North
To break bread with those who can seep into what lies beneath
The ones who pay attention
We know sin too well
Often not, drawn apart from those who seek the virtuous life, our nature runs deep
Into the ground, the seed of life exist for us to nourish the ones around us
For us, to become apart of the whole that is divided among billions
To stand alone, in the end, to what extent is sealed in

Final Call
She flings her arms around my neck and squeezes me like she’s never going to let me go. My head spins as her lips brush against my cheek. She must be able to feel my heart thumping in my chest. I shuffle backwards and ram my hands into my coat pockets, watching her reach down and heave the rucksack across her shoulders.
