The Heart of a Villain

What you think of it ?

In the shadows where the darkness dwells

Lies a heart with stories it never tells

Misunderstood, and painted black

A villain's heart on a twisted track.

Eyes that glint with a cunning stare

Yet deep within, a longing’s there

For once a time, in days of yore

This heart knew love, and so much more.

Betrayal’s kiss, a shattered trust

Turned dreams to dust, love to lust

A gentle soul, turned cold and grim

The light within, grew faint and dim.

Through every plot, each darkened deed

A cry for help, a silent plead

For in the depths of villain's guise

Lies pain and tears behind those eyes.

A heart once pure, now cloaked in sin

Battles waged both out and in

For villains, too, have scars to bear

A tangled web of love and despair.

Yet, in the core, a spark remains

Amidst the grief, amidst the chains

A glimmer of the love once lost,

A beacon in the tempest tossed.

For every villain's tale we see

There lies a truth, a history

Of love betrayed, of dreams unseen

A heart that once was pure and clean.

So look beyond the fearsome mask

And dare to take on the noble task

To see the heart that beats within

The human side beneath the sin.

For even villains, dark and cold

Have stories that deserve be told

A heart that yearns to feel the light

To find redemption in the night.
