The heart of a female warrior

Poem 1

By Prisha MakamPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

sister, sister tell me my sins,

as if my only purpose were to sure a man‘z will,

I am tired of what is expected of me,

of my value being calculated based on what sterio types I can be,

no longer shall I be a machine,

I will just be clean,

from all of the humiliating comments targeted at me,

no no no this will not do,

I will not tolerate this,

but do us females have a choice,

our skin is moist,

have a fever tonight,

and I cry all night,

but no sympathetic feelings here,

but I do not have any fear

We are tortured and beaten,

and nothing is eaten,

mabey, just mabey,

there is a shining ray of hope.

FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM

A swift or two of a sord is all it takes,

blood is flying high,

people are dying,

as others are fighting,

some are crying,

but one and for all the females won,

celebrations of victory are held,

with victorious people,

heartbreak
