The Heart of a Broken One

By: Ayana Nealous

By Ayana NealousPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

This broken glass shows all my past and the deepest cuts within, my pain is worse than deadly sins,

I mourn I’m torn, worn out from all these men

Fornicating, touching my skin

So much pain where do I begin

Out of hate all lust no protection no trust and he nuts within but I cannot bare a child for them

Infertile, infections, I question my terrible sins and the pain afflicted on my body from sleeping with deadly men

Do I love myself? As I take my medicine from the shelf, I can feel my insides burning as my heart melts from pain I am ashamed, I am ashamed but I am to blame

sad poetry
