The Harpist

Twenty Three

By Earl W. PearlPublished 5 months ago • Updated 5 months ago • 1 min read

The Lord is my shepherd, I harbor no wants

Ignoring the devil, no matter the taunts

I walk in green pastures where waters are still

It quiets the soul as I’m seeking His will

Ye though I walk in the shadow of death

I’m trusting You Lord until my final breath

Thy rod and thy staff give me comfort within

My source of support as we stand against sin

From heaven, created from out of the soil

I’m made in Your image, anointed with oil

Despite my oppression and struggles I’ve found

My cup runneth over, Your blessings abound

You usher the darkness away from my day

Your goodness and mercy are guiding my way

So this is my hope and the glory I pen

To dwell in Your Kingdom forever, amen
