The hardest part no one talks about
In a bad break up
The kind like I had
Is that not only did you grow apart
But you tore apart what was left
The hardest thing remains hidden
Beneath the lies and the hurtful truths
Stronger than the loss of friends and halting of touch
More blinding than the loss of a future together
It’s more confusing than knowing she cheated on him too
Lied to him even more often than you
More crippling than watching their sextape
Or only you knowing she lies with a snake
Who exploited his dead sister and your weakness
It’s more painful than worrying about her choices
Scarier than knowing they seek any weakness
To put you away for sins long forgotten
Eviscerates more than losing a little sister
No the hardest part is the math
The accumulation of all her deeds
Which adds up to a single unforgettable truth
The assassination of the person you thought they were
The person you spent so long loving
Who now lies as dead as the catalyst
Who would hate what has been done in her name
