The Halloween Countdown
A Haunting Tale of Shadows and Spirits
4
Four days 'til Halloween, shadows start to creep,
In the quiet of the night, while most of us sleep.
The moon casts eerie glimmers, through branches bare and stark,
As darkness wraps around us, like a shroud, so cold and dark.
3
Three days 'til Halloween, a whisper in the wind,
Unseen spectres lurking, as the veil begins to thin.
A chill runs down your spine, as the unknown draws near,
And ghostly apparitions, bring forth a sense of fear.

Two days 'til Halloween, the world begins to change,
Mysterious and unsettling, it starts to rearrange.
A feeling of foreboding, a sense of looming dread,
As the spirits of the night, awaken from the dead.

One day 'til Halloween, the anticipation grows,
Candles flicker in the dark, as the autumn wind bestows,
A sense of macabre wonder, a thrill mixed with unease,
For tomorrow is the night, when the monsters aim to please.

On Halloween itself, the darkest hour is here,
Ghosts and ghouls and witches, their presence conjure fear.
They sing twisted melodies, as they dance all day and night -
Lock your doors and close the blinds, your terrors are coming to life.
