The Halloween alien chase

It was Halloween evening
the kids knocked every door
when something flashed above the trees
then landed with a roar

A silver space ship shook the field
its lights was flashing red
the scarecrow fell out of his coat
and hid inside the shed

The space ship door flew open
a alien came out
he ran across the farmers field
and gave a frightened shout

Behind him came a warrior
with boots as big as chairs
he chased the little alien
right through the village square

They raced through trick or treaters
who thought it was a show
they clapped and shouted chase him
not knowing where he’d go

The alien hid behind a witch
then joined a ghost parade
the warrior stared at all of them
and looked a bit afraid

He grabbed the wrong green monster
then chased a skeleton
he bumped into a vampire
who shouted this is fun

At last the alien stopped and said
why chase me through the night
the warrior pointed at a bag
you stole my sweets thats right

A little girl shared all her sweets
and told them not to fight
they ate them by a pumpkin
beneath the pale moonlight

They climbed back in their space ship
and waved above each street
the village said that Halloween
was strange but very sweet
