"The Half Has Not Been Told

Of Who You Are"

By Colleen WaltersPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

You rescued me

I didn't ask for it

I didn't pray for it

or to You at all

yet You pulled me

from that mud pit

up into that huge

beautiful pasture

and transformed

my mind that night

I was so confused

but You show me

what I need to know

You have revealed

Yourself through the

Bible and now You're

revealing me

through You

I try to run ahead and

You pull me back

You whisper into

my ear

two words that

give me a hope

and a future

and so I promise to

listen this time

because I know

that You're the

way maker.

Author's note: The title, "The Half Has Not Been Told of Who You Are" is from a Brandon Lake song by that title, and it is true that probably far less than half has been told about the God we serve.

+ + +

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬
