The Gypsy Stone

. Set in a land named Nede the story starts with a child, Eerste, who is confronted with the tales and advice of a dying man. The juxtaposition of the two creates a great narrative of delightful insight into the workings of humanity and our individualized perceptions.

Nede is a magical land which reflects our current society. All forms of societal institutions are presented with a childlike focus as the story unfolds. Two other child characters overlap with Eerste, as they navigate through what it means to be alive and how to find one’s truth. The three find themselves influenced by a sun stone which is cold to the touch, a mango eating sheep, a gypsy and a land far away with hues of heaven. How will the children heed the call of life? A question asked to the reader. What is your adventure and dreams in life? Will it stay in the past or move into the future?
