The clock strikes five, I wake up from my slumber,

I know what I must do, I must get to my numbers.

I open my books, I take out my pen,

I begin to study, I begin to learn.

The hours pass by, I'm starting to feel it,

The fatigue is setting in, my brain is starting to wilt.

But I push on, I know I must,

I know that if I don't, I'll be a dunce.

The sun starts to set, I'm finally done,

I close my books, I put away my pen.

I'm exhausted, but I'm satisfied,

I know that I've done my best, and that's all I can ask for.

I go to bed, I fall asleep,

And I dream of all the things I'll learn tomorrow.

I know that the grind is hard,

But it's worth it in the end.

Because knowledge is power,

And power is knowledge.
