The environment
For humans is so
Excellent. What sent
Us? The green will know.
The leaf of an elm
Will lean in and say
“I am at the helm!”
And man cuts that day.
But he also plants.
That’s the beauty when
Land is urged and grants
Her might with the pen.
The verdant spaces
Beckon to be sliced
Thin. And the faces
Value what is priced.
They stare like the blind,
Wisdom locked in their
Thoughts that are behind
Green eyes that don’t scare.
To Sky, the earth spends
It’s time offering
Up its dividends.
Man makes green the thing.
